Anna Henderson, WIN Executive DirectorAs a director, advocate, trainer and consultant, Anna Henderson has been developing community partnerships to support families since 1991. She is the founding director of the Westside Infant-Family Network (WIN.
Anna has served as co-chair of a statewide coalition advocating for better public policy for families living in poverty, and as an expert witness before the state legislature during welfare reform (TANF) plan creation. She has spoken throughout the country on poverty issues, education and collaboration and is the author of "Making Welfare-to-Work Work for Families.” Before accepting her current position as Executive Director of the Westside Infant-family Network (WIN), she served as the executive director of Chicago Commons ETC, a consultant to new and growing non-profit programs and as a development officer in higher education. Ms. Henderson has a Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Illinois, Chicago, as well as bachelor’s degrees in English and Fine Arts from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Wendy Sun, Psy.D., Clinical DirectorDr. Wendy Sun is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in early intervention and infant mental health. Dr. Sun came to WIN from a nonprofit community mental health clinic where she was a Lead Clinical Supervisor.
Wendy has provided trainings at national and regional conferences in the area of infant mental health diagnosis and treatment. She is also a frequent trainer for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and has taught child psychology at the Alliant International University. Dr. Sun has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and received both her Master and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology – Alliant International University.
As a direct-service provider, clinical supervisor, and trainer, Wendy is passionate about delivering culturally-sensitive and strength-based mental health services to support children in achieving optimal potentials and to improve the quality of life for families. Her professional interests include multicultural issues related to early intervention, and family systems in impoverished communities.

Marta Huertas, WIN Clinical Program AssociateMarta Huertas, WIN's Clinical Information Systems Manager, began her career in the private sector, then moved to non-profit work because it offered more meaning for her life. She has been an intake coordinator for foster care placements, acted as a Spanish-English translator, and devised and maintained database systems. She acts as the central core of the WIN program, streamlining communication among WIN, partner agencies, and clients. She also maintains client files and consults on WIN processes.

Rachel Ford, WIN Communications ManagerRachel received her BA & MA in Drama back in her home country of England, and worked freelance as a costume designer in London and LA for several years, and in event design, before searching for more meaning in her life.
Soon after, she acted in a theater production that raised money for a shelter for abused women and their children and after meeting the families she began to realize that her future might be with a nonprofit, helping children.
Rachel is now very happy to have found her home at WIN, writing grant proposals and reports, carrying out research and graphic design, planning trainings, and supporting the WIN team.

Maritza Brijil, WIN Case ManagerMaritza received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University Fullerton and then chose to work in the social services field because she has a strong desire for direct involvement in making a difference in people's lives.
Through her work so far, Maritza has found great value in social work and its ability to improve the quality of life for all individuals, both those who are receiving it and those providing it. She is confident that the assistance and guidance provided through case management allows clients to meet their basic needs to function and thrive in society.
Maritza plans to continue her education so that she can be more prepared to help people in need.

Season Jensen, LCSWSeason Jensen is a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a trained infant-family mental health specialist providing attachment therapy to infants, children and caregivers. She has specialized as a Child and Family Therapist for over 9 years treating trauma, child abuse, sexual abuse, Autistic spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, oppositional defiance and attention deficit disorders to name a few. She received her LCSW in California, her M.S. in Social Work from Columbia University in New York, and her B.A. in Social Work from San Francisco State University.
In the past she was the Program Coordinator at Saint John’s Hospital Day Treatment Intensive (DTI) therapeutic Preschool in Santa Monica, CA. She also has experience as a mental health clinician with adolescence out-patient mental health clinics, in-home based therapy and providing therapy to children in foster care as well as helping families with reunification.

Priscilla De Leon, MSWPriscilla De Leon is a bilingual clinical social worker. She received her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology from UCLA in 2002. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University in 2005.
Before returning to school, she worked as an advocate for families on public assistance and in a Child Development Center with Navy families overseas. She has experience with many populations and issues. She has worked extensively with families affected by sexual abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking, depression, anxiety, traumatic immigration, and post traumatic stress.
Currently, she provides dyadic therapy to infants and their caregivers.

Monica Pavlovic, LMFTMonica Pavlovic is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and has specialized in child and family therapy for 11 years. Monica received extensive training in the treatment of child abuse and trauma, and has worked with families dealing with domestic violence and abuse. She worked at an outpatient mental health clinic with a focus on childhood trauma, psychosis, disruptive behavior disorders, attachment issues, anxiety disorders and depression.
Monica developed a school-based therapy program at Braddock Elementary school where she provided individual, family and group therapy as well as parenting groups and support groups.
Monica received her B.S. in psychology at USC and her Master’s in counseling psychology at CSUN.

Rebecca Lara, LCSWRebecca Lara is a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing in the field since 1988. She has a BA in Sociology/Social Welfare which led to her special interest in families and children. After working in the social services field helping parents work towards self-sufficiency, she realized that she wanted to work on a deeper clinical level.
In 1992 she attended the University of Southern California. Her graduate fieldwork was concentrated on mental health treatment for children and adults. After obtaining her Master’s in Social Work she began practicing bilingual psychotherapy with children, families and individuals. She has practiced both in the private non-profit sector and the public sector. On-site therapeutic services have included state preschool consultations, high school pregnancy program services and community college counseling with young parents. She has also provided supervision to USC and MFT interns.

Yvette Kraiss, LMFTYvette has spent the past 12 years working with youth on probation and in the foster care system, and developed the therapeutic program for REALM group home.
She has also helped raise multiple foster children.

WIN grants each partner agency funds to support on-site case managers for WIN clients. The Tier 1 cross-agency services case managers provide for WIN families go far beyond the walls of WIN's three primary partner agencies--case managers act as families' advocates for services at Regional Center, public housing offices, and much more.

Rachel Gates, Westside Children's CenterRachel Gates received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, and has worked in the nonprofit field as a family advocate and case manager for seven years. She has been working at Westside Children’s Center for two of those years as a case manager. Her main goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of her clients by providing in-home interventions and ongoing support services to families in the program. Rachel assists families in seeking services and obtains additional resources by networking with other agencies. She likes the personal relationships she develops with families, and enjoys helping them move in a positive direction with their lives.

Alicia Ames-Trelles, Westside Children's CenterAlicia has been working in the social services field for over 28 years, in both direct service and administration. Currently, she is a case manager at Westside Children’s Center in the Family Unity Network Program. A strong interest in the complexities of human beings (behaviors, attitudes and the mind) led her to study psychology. She attended The Sacred Heart University and in 1980 graduated as Psychologist in Lima, Peru. Later, she earned her Master's in Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, and in 1998 was Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Her profession has given her the opportunity to fulfill her passion for assisting people, improving their quality of life, discovering their talents, strengths, and overcoming life adversities. She considers this a privilege and a tremendously rewarding activity. In the U.S., she has developed a special commitment to assisting the Hispanic community in their acculturation process and assisting parents with the challenging role of raising their children in a culturally foreign environment. She enjoys the love of her husband and her beautiful eleven year-old daughter.

Jessica Sanchez, Westside Children's CenterJessica Sanchez has more than six years of experience working with young children and their families as a case manager and early childhood educator. At St. Joseph's Center, Jessica helped parents of children enrolled in the Early Learning Centers to connect to resources and coordinates with other service providers to maximize child and family outcomes. Recently she transferred agencies and now works with Westside Children's Center.
She is passionate about the development of young children and supporting the family network! Jessica grew up in Chicago and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Yesenia Guerra, St. Joseph CenterYesenia graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2005 with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Womens studies. She then worked at the Long Beach Youth Home with young men involved in the juvenile justice system, and at Koreatown Youth and Community Center as a counselor (mostly as an In-Home Outreach Counselor with DCFS cases). She came to St. Joseph Center two years ago to work as a case manager for the FDN program before becoming their WIN-dedicated case manager.

Marisa Zalcman, Westside Children's CenterMarisa received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State, Long Beach in 2008. Prior to that she worked as a Mental Health Counselor on the psychiatric unit of a hospital in Maryland. After graduate school, she obtained a position as an In-Home Outreach Counselor for a non-profit agency. Marisa began working as a contractor for Westside Children’s Center in April 2009 as an In-Home Outreach Counselor for the Family Preservation Program. Marisa was very excited when a full-time position opened up and she became part of the WIN team. Marisa enjoys her case management role very much and supports the mission of strengthening families in order to keep them intact. She loves working with children and families and feels lucky to have the opportunity to maintain long-term working relationships with them.
